Literacy 

Our first quarter focus will be on concepts about print. These include:

-identify letter, word, spaces

-author/illustrator and their roles

-front and back covers

-title/title page

table of contents

-1:1 correspondence

-left to right

-return sweep

Then we will move on to identify characters, setting, and details from a story.

Math: 

The focus for 1st quarter is all about number sense. This includes:

-writing numbers from 1-10
-counting sets with accuracy
-1:1 correspondance
-recording their work
-making a number book
-rote counting to 25
-months of the year

-days of the week

-calendar skills
